Whilst awaiting my copy of The Skillful Huntsman, I thought I'd have a go at using silhouettes for character designs. While covering this vast subject we covered character animation, which later bec The Skillful Huntsman Book Review. A book created by a tutor and 3 of his students at the art center college of design. What they did was take a story from the brothers Grimm(The Skillful Huntsman) and make it into a production design project. Here are some Marjani designs in just such a manner. Been a huge source of inspiration for many concept artists of this generation, contributing to a book which many have come to consider as a bible for how to go through an iterative concepting process: The Skillful Huntsman. "the skillful huntsman" is a great book that cover the making of this concept art style. The main inspiration for my project this year came from The Skillful Huntsman. This has got to be the best concept art book out there! 10 interesting facts about the outstanding speaker (10 Pics) 3. I got the idea of the Skillful Huntsman, a book I got from design studio press. I'm guessing this was first painted as a black silhouette first and by alternating between 100% hard brush and eraser to carve out the shapes. Language of the chameleon is a skillful huntsman apparatus with sticky traps at the end. The third becomes a skilled huntsman and is given a gun that is sure to hit whatever he aims at. His gift is a needle that will sew anything together.
